Soléna Sommelier Series - Pinot Family Tree
The old adage that “Pinot Is King” certainly has some truth to it, but which Pinot?
In the Willamette Valley, when someone says “Pinot”, you think “Noir”. But the Willamette Valley’s favorite grape is genetically related through a parent/offspring relationship to grapes like Chardonnay, Gamay, and Melon de Bourgogne. It’s also got some close siblings that you may be familiar with: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Pinot Meunier. We invite you to learn more about the complicated family dynamics in the Pinot family tree. We will taste some amazing local examples of Pinot’s closest relatives! What a great way to kick off Memorial Day Weekend and wrap up Oregon Wine Month!

The Soléna Sommelier Series is an open space where people can gather, discuss, learn, and taste amazing wines.
Along the way we will cover different topics from grape varietals to wine making practices and everything in between.
All the series will be created and held by our resident Sommelier Hugo Arias Sanchez.
The series will be held on Sunday mornings and will be about an hour long with a light snack or two to go with the wines/topics being discussed.
